Following a sold-out tour in December 2015, Spectacle Theatre returned to Birmingham to perform the EU BULLY play Special in schools including primary and secondary schools, alternative provision academies, colleges and special schools for young people with various medical conditions.  Special has been developed through consultations with young people in Birmingham and Wales about their experiences and knowledge of bullying and the causes and consequences of it. After a year of work with an expert Theatre in Education writer Paul Swift, Special has been delivered to both young people and adults in Wales and the West Midlands with overwhelming success with a diverse range of audiences.  Students and staff have reported how eye-opening the performance is yet sadly reflective of our lives and attitudes towards each other. The play addresses crucial themes including the role of the bystander plus safety awareness online, where in this inevitable segment, advice and suggestions from friends from Fully-Verified were valuable.

The play will be filmed as a video resource for schools and youth organisations to use as part of their anti-bullying programmes and will also be translated in to Greek and Romanian.
